CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A Canadian of Chinese ancestry, Mr. Yuan, obtained the newly released Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card from the Exit and Entry Administration of Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau on July 26. It is also the first new edition Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card released by the official department.
After the old man got married to his wife in Chongqing in 2007, he lived here for 10 years. In 2015, he obtained the permanent resident ID card for marriage, which makes Chongqing his second hometown. On July 26, he became the first foreigner who obtained new edition permanent ID card in Chongqing.
The new edition resident ID card has a similar appearance to a 2nd-generation ID card; it features an embedded chip which was in ID card and can generate machine-readable identification by an ID Card Reader. It also adopted the similar functions as 2nd-generation resident identification card. The new permanent residence ID card can be used as one formal identification when the holder needs to handle affairs in finance, education, health care, traffic, accommodation, communication, job, tax revenue, social insurance, property registering and lawsuit.
